Part 3
CIRCLESRVA, INC. WORKS TO COMBAT POVERTY BY RECRUITING AND ENGAGING WITH LEADERS. ALL LEADERS ARE INDIVIDUALS OR FAMILIES WITH INCOMES LESS THAN 150% OF THE FEDERAL POVERTY GUIDELINE. UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE CIRCLESRVA COACH, LEADERS PARTICIPATE IN A 12-WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM FOCUSING ON THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO MEET THEIR GOALS FOR FINANCIAL STABILITY. AFTER TRAINING, LEADERS ARE TYPICALLY MATCHED WITH TWO ALLIES TO CREATE A CIRCLE; THEN THEY BEGIN WORKING ON SMART GOALS THEY WROTE DURING TRAINING. ALLIES MAKE AN INTENTIONAL COMMITMENT TO BECOME BOTH CHEERLEADERS AND ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNERS FOR THEIR CIRCLE LEADER AND GO THROUGH THEIR OWN 8-WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM BEFORE THEY ARE MATCHED WITH A LEADER. MATCHED CIRCLES TYPICALLY WORK ON A LEADER'S GOALS FOR 18 MONTHS BEFORE GRADUATING. EIGHT LEADERS (COHORT 4) GRADUATED IN JUNE 2022; FOUR LEADERS (COHORT 5) GRADUATED IN OCTOBER 2022. ALL THESE LEADERS INCREASED THEIR MONTHLY INCOME BY AMOUNTS RANGING FROM 50% TO 148% BY THE TIME OF THEIR GRADUATION. THEY ACHIEVED OTHER FINANCIAL AND PERSONAL MANAGEMENT OBJECTIVES AS WELL. CIRCLESRVA RECRUITED AND TRAINED FIVE NEW LEADERS IN LATE 2021; THOSE LEADERS COMPRISE COHORT 6 AND WERE MATCHED WITH THEIR ALLIES IN JANUARY 2022 AFTER COMPLETION OF TRAINING. COHORT 6 LEADERS, SLATED TO GRADUATE IN AUGUST 2023, HAVE SO FAR INCREASED THEIR MONTHLY INCOME BY A COLLECTIVE TOTAL OF $8,900, WITH THE AVERAGE MONTHLY INCREASE PER LEADER RANGING FROM 15% TO 221%. COHORT 6 LEADERS ARE ALSO WORKING ON THEIR CREDIT SCORES AND OTHER PERSONAL MANAGEMENT GOALS. IN LATE 2022, CIRCLESRVA RECRUITED FIVE PEOPLE AS LEADERS FOR COHORT 7 AND ELEVEN PEOPLE TO BECOME THEIR ALLIES. BOTH GROUPS STARTED THEIR TRAINING IN JANUARY 2023 AND WILL BE MATCHED IN MAY 2023.
