THE MISSION OF THE AIMING FOR A CURE FOUNDATION IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO BENEFIT PEDIATRIC ONCOLOGY PATIENTS AND FAMILIES IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES WHO ARE DEALING WITH DIFFICULT TIMES AND DECISIONS. THE FOUNDATION'S GOAL IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF CARE AND QUALITY OF LIVES OF THESE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THROUGH THE FUNDING OF RESEARCH, NON-INSURED EXPENSES AND PATIENT CARE.

FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2021 THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED CASH GRANTS TOTALING $96,500 TO FOUR GRANTEES. THE GRANTS SUPPORTED PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH PROJECTS AND PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR YOUNG CANCER PATIENTS. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDED ST. LUKE'S HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA, BLANK CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, DES MOINES, IOWA, AND THE STEAD FAMILY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, IOWA CITY, IOWA WITH A TOTAL OF $75,532 IN GIFT CARDS TO BE DISTRIBUTED TO YOUNG CANCER PATIENTS.
