TO PROVIDE PREVENTATIVE HEALTHCARE PROGRAMS TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, PHYSICIAN REFERRALS, RESEARCH AND THE BUILDING OF LEADERSHIP AMONG HISPANICS SO THAT THEY MAY LEAD HEALTHIER LIFESTYLES.

THE COALITION CONTINUTED TO PROVIDE EDUCATION TO SCHOOL CHILDREN RELATED TO ITS HEALTHY HEARTS PROGRAM AND TO PROVIDE ITS REFERRAL PROGRAM TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN ACQUIRING ADEQUATE HEALTH CARE SERVICES. THE COALITION ALSO WORKED TO EDUCATE HISPANIC FAMILIES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING VACCINATED AGAINST COVID 19 THROUGH DISTRIBUTED MATERIALS AND HOSTING VACCINATION CLINICS. FINALLY, DURING 2021, THE COALITION PROVIDED INTERPRETING SERVICES FOR CITIES AND COUNTIES IN THE SURROUNDING AREAS. THE COALITION ALSO COVERED SHIFTS ON ELKHART COUNTY'S COVID HOTLINE. THESE SERVICES TOOK THE PLACE OF THE TRADITIONAL HEALTH FAIRS THAT WERE NOT OFFERED DUE TO THE COVID VIRUS CONCERNS.
