ADULT SERVICES - EASTERSEALS NORTHERN OHIO PROVIDES COMMUNITY-BASED ADULT DAY SERVICES AFFORDING SENIORS AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES OPPORTUNITIES TO LIVE,LEARN, WORK AND PLAY AS A VITAL PART OF THEIR COMMUNITY. ADULT DAY SERVICES OFFERS SOCIAL INTERACTION, EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. IN ADDITION, THIS PROGRAM OFFERS RESPITE, SUPPORT AND EDUCATION FOR FAMILY MEMBERS AND OTHER CAREGIVERS. HOME CARE SERVICES ARE CUSTOMIZED TO FIT THE NEEDS OF THE CLIENTS, ENABLING THEM TO LIVE AT HOME FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. HOME CARE SERVICES PROVIDES PERSONAL CARE, HOMEMAKING AND RESPITE CARE. EASTERSEALS SENIOR FRIENDS IS AN INNOVATIVE PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES COMPANIONSHIP FOR ADULTS OVER THE AGE OF 60 WHO MAY BE ISOLATED AND WITHDRAWN FROM THE COMMUNITY. CLIENTS IN THIS PROGRAM QUICKLY FORM BONDS WITH SENIORS THROUGH A VARIETY OF SHARED ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PLAYING CARDS, WORKING ON PUZZLES, FISHING, BOWLING, SHOPPING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.
OTHER PROGRAMS - INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES HELP INDIVIDUALS OF ALL ABILITIES, THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES CONNECT TO EASTERSEALS PROGRAM AS WELL AS OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES. IN ADDITION, EASTERSEALS OF NORTHERN OHIO PARTICIPATES IN THE SINGLE ENTRY POINT (SEP) A REFERRAL PROGRAM OFFERED BY THE STATE OF OHIO. MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOAN PROGRAM - EASTERSEALS MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOAN HELPS INDIVIDUALS AND CAREGIVERS DURING A TIME OF NEED BY PROVIDING EQUIPMENT FREE OF CHARGE FOR UP TO 90 DAYS. THE PROGRAM LENDS ADAPTIVE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS WHEELCHAIRS, CRUTCHES, WALKERS, SHOWER CHAIRS AND BEDSIDE COMMODES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH TEMPORARY OR LONG-TERM ILLNESSES OR DISABILITIES.
