COORDINATING AND UNITING CHURCHES AND MINISTRIES TO PROVIDE TANGIBLE HELP AND HOPE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.

SOMEBODY CARES AMERICA (SCA) PROVIDES RESOURCES FOR RELIEF OF VICTIMS OF PERSONAL CRISIS AND NATURAL DISASTERS. DURING 2023, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED: EARTHQUAKE IN TURKEY AND SYRIA SOMEBODY CARES PARTNERED WITH CHURCHES IN THE REGION TO PROVIDE HEATERS, BLANKETS, FOOD AND SHELTER TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY THE EARTHQUAKES IN BOTH TURKEY AND SYRIA. VOLUNTEERS ALSO DEPLOYED TO TURKEY TO ASSIST WITH CLEAN- UP, MINOR BUILDING PROJECTS AS WELL AS THE DISTRIBUTION OF SOLAR POWERED LIGHTS AND RADIOS, MATTRESSES, BLANKETS AND OTHER NECESSITITES. ARKANSAS AND KENTUCKY TORNADOS THE SOMEBODY CARES NETWORK MOBILIZED RESOURCES AS WELL AS VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST RESIDENTS AFFECTED BY THE TORNADOS. IN ADDITION TO 8 PALLETS OF HOUSEHOLD AND RELIEF SUPPLIES, WE ALSO PROVIDED COMFORT BEARS FOR CHILDREN AS WELL AS 7,750 WORTH OF GIFT CARDS FOR DISTRIBUTION TO THOSE IMPACTED. IN ADDITION WE PARTNERED WITH CHRIST IN ACTION TO HELP FUND CLEAN-UP EFFORTS. MAUI FIRES SOMEBODY CARES AND OUR PARTNER NETWORK MOBILIZED TO PARTNER WITH CHURCHES AND BUSINESSES ON MAUI TO HELP COMMUNITY MEMBERS AFFECTED BY THE WILDFIRES. VOLUNTEER TEAMS HELPED WITH CLEAN-UP, PROVIDED CHAPLAINCY SERVICES AND DELIVERED ENCOURAGING DEVOTIONALS TO FIRST RESPONDERS. GRANTS WERE GIVEN TO PARTNER CHURCHES TO ASSIST WITH SHELTER NEEDS OF THOSE WHO LOST HOMES. AND 20,000 WORTH OF INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE GRANTS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO FAMILIES AFFECTED BY THE FIRES TO HELP IN THEIR RECOVERY. VARIOUS OTHER RESPONSE EFFORTS SOMEBODY CARES CONTINUED ASSISTING FAMILIES RECOVERYING FROM HURRICANE IAN BY PURCHASING NEW APPLIANCES FOR THOSE READY TO MOVE BACK INTO REPAIRED HOMES. WE ALSO GRANTED FUNDS TO TEACHERS TO RESUPPLY CLASSROOMS THAT WERE FLOODED. SCA SENT HEATERS, BLANKETS, PILLOWS, GROCERIES AND COMFORT BEARS FOR CHURCH PARTNERS TO DISTRIBUTE TO THOSE IMPACTED BY THE FLOODING THAT DEVASTATED PARTS OF KENTUCKY. SCA SENT 2,235 TO HELP EQUIP A PUBLIC BOMB SHELTER IN ISRAEL. SOMEBODY CARES VOLUNTEERS DISTRIBUTED CLOTHES, HEATERS AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO FAMILIES IMPACTED BY THE TORNADO THAT HIT PASADENA, TX. A SOMEBODY CARES TEAM PROVIDED ON-GROUND CHAPLAINCY SUPPORT AS WELL AS DELIVERED AUDIO BIBLES AND COMFORT BEARS IN UKRAINE TO HELP THOSE STILL LIVING THROUGH WAR. SOMEBODY CARES TEAMS DEPLOYED TO COOK AND DISTRIBUTE HOT MEALS IN PERRY, FL AFTER HURRICANE IDALIA. VOLUNTEERS ALSO HELPED MAN A POINT OF DISTRIBUTION FOR THE COMMUNITY; AND ARRANGED THE LOAN OF 20 GENERATORS TO THOSE WITH MEDICAL AND OTHER NEEDS. SCA VOLUNTEERS ASSISTANCE ISRAELIS WHO EVACUATED THE BORDER AREA AROUND GAZA AFTER THE TERRORIST ATTACKS, PROVIDING THEM WITH FOOD, SHELTER AND SAFETY. WE ALSO PARTNERED WITH AN ISRAELI NGO TO HELP A WIDOW AND HER CHILDREN WHO ALSO EVACUATED INTO A SAFE HOME. SOMEBODY CARES ALSO OFFERS A 24/7 PRAYER AND REFERRAL LINE FOR INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS.


THE ORGANIZATION SPREADS GOD'S WORD THROUGH SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY OUTREACHES, MISSION ACTIVITIES AND GIVING TO OTHER MINISTRIES.


SOMEBODY CARES CONTINUED ONLINE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES TO PROVIDE TRANSFORMING LEADERSHIP SEMINARS WITH GUEST SPEAKERS THAT INCLUDED: ADAM DAVIS, DR. MARK RUTLAND, ROB DIAS, PAUL LIN, LUKE NIFORATOS, COL. GARY NELSON (RET.), JOHN RUTTKAY, CHUCK GIRARD AND MORE. OUR A WORD IN SEASON WITH DOUG STRINGER AND FRIENDS AND HER GOD STORY PODCASTS CONTINUED WITH POSTING REGULAR EPISODES AVAILABLE ON MOST PODCAST PLATFORMS. EQUIPPING OF COMMUNITY LEADERS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPUTIES ALSO INCREASED THROUGH THE DISTRIBUTION OF LEADERSHIP AND LAW ENFORCEMENT SPECIFIC RESOURCES AS WELL AS GROUP AND ONE-ON-ONE CONSULTATIONS. IN ADDITION, WE ENGAGED IN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INTERNATIONALLY AS OUR PRESIDENT TRAVELLED TO UKRAINE TO SPEAK AT A LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AND ALSO SPOKE AT A VIETNAMESE LEADERSHIP GATHERING IN THE USA.


ONGOING SUPPORT FOR SOMEBODY CARES CHAPTERS AND CENTER CONSISTED OF PHONE AND ZOOM CONFERENCES AS WELL AS SITE VISITS TO MULTIPLE US AND INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS. SOMEBODY CARES CURRENTLY HAS 2 ACTIVE INTERNATIONAL CHAPTERS, 12 ACTIVE US CHAPTERS AND 1 ACTIVE US CENTERS.
