THE MISSION OF THE AMERICAN SIGN MUSEUM IS TO CELEBRATE THE RICH HISTORY OF AMERICAN SIGNAGE THROUGH PRESERVATION AND EDUCATION BY DISPLAYING NEARLY 100 YEARS OF SIGNAGE. WE PRESERVE AND PROTECT AMERICAN HISTORY AND PAY HOMAGE TO THE ARTISTRY AND CRAFTMANSHIP OF DAYS GONE BY. THE COLLECTION HONORS AN OFTEN OVERLOOKED PART OF OUR CULTURE THAT HIDES IN PLAIN SIGHT AS PART OF OUR DAILY LIVES.

COLLECT, RESEARCH, AND DISPLAY HISTORICAL SIGNS, PRODUCTS, AND EQUIPMENT UTILIZED IN THE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF SIGNS, AND BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION ON INDIVIDUALS IN THE INDUSTRY.


COSIGN IS A NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECT RUN BY THE AMERICAN SIGN MUSEUM TO ENHANCE ECONOMIC ACTIVITY BY PAIRING ARTISTS, BUSINESSES AND SIGN FABRICATORS TO DESIGN SIGNAGE FOR LOCAL RETAILERS.
