THROUGH INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS AND PARTNERSHIPS, CHHE CHALLENGES INJUSTICE, INHUMANITY AND PREJUDICE, AND FOSTERS UNDERSTANDING, INCLUSION AND ENGAGED CITIZENSHIP.

UPSTANDER PROJECT - THE NANCY & DAVID WOLF HOLOCAUST & HUMANITY CENTER'S CINCINNATI UPSTANDER PROJECT IS INFORMAED BY A POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY FRAMEWORK DEVELOPED BY THE VIA INSTITUTE ON CHARACTER, WHICH IDENTIFIES 24 CHARACTER STRENGTHS WE ALL POSSESS IN DIFFERENT DEGREES, GIVING EACH OF US A UNIQUE CHARACTER PROFILE. EACH OF US CAN USE OUR CHARACTER STRENGTHS TO BECOME AN UPSTANDER AND MAKE POSITIVE CHANGE. WE ARE THE ONLY MUSUEM IN THE WORLD TO USE THE VIA CHARACTER STRENGTHS AS A LENS TO UNDERSTAND AND INSPIRE UPSTANDER BEHAVIOR. AFTER EXPERIENCING THE MOVING NARRATIVES IN THE HOLOCAUST GALLERY, VISITORS ENTER THE HUMANITY GALLERY WHERE THEY EXPLORE HOW TO BECOME THE BEST OF HUMANITY TODAY BY ACTIVATING THEIR STRENGTHS TO BE UPSTANDERS.
