CPP ORGANIZES CITIZEN PATROL VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE EXTRA EYES ON FOX ISLAND, ESPECIALLY FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN ALONG SCHOOL BUS ROUTES, AND HIRES PIERCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES FOR AFTER-HOURS PATROLS. THE PROGRAM IS INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING FOX ISLAND KEEP ONE OF THE LOWEST CRIME RATES FOR COMMUNITIES OF THIS SIZE IN PIERCE COUNTY.
RESTORE AND MAINTAIN THE OLD SCHOOLHOUSE, MAINTAIN THE ADJACENT GAZEBO AND PLAY AREA, AND IMPROVE AND MAINTAIN THE SPORTS FIELD SO IT CAN BE USED BY ISLAND FAMILIES.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM (EPP) BRINGS TOGETHER RESOURCES ON FOX ISLAND AND IN PIERCE COUNTY TO PLAN FOR AND HELP RESPOND IN PROVIDING ASSISTANCE FOR FOX ISLAND RESIDENTS IN THE EVENT OF A MAJOR EMERGENCY.
