Part 3 - Line 4a

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT: FIRST STEP HOME IS THE ONLY RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT FACILITY FOR WOMEN IN SOUTHWEST OHIO THAT ALLOWS WOMEN TO UNDERGO TREATMENT WHILE ALLOWING THEIR CHILDREN, UNDER THE AGE OF 12, TO LIVE WITH THEM. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2022, 135 WOMEN WERE ADMITTED TO OUR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM. WE PROVIDED OVER 325 BED DAYS FOR CHILDREN THAT LIVED WITH THEIR MOTHERS WHILE THEY WERE IN TREATMENT. 16 BABIES WERE BORN DRUG FREE TO CLIENTS DURING TREATMENT. THE AVERAGE AGE OF OUR CLIENTS WAS 32. AS REPORTED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, THE "OPIATE EPIDEMIC" HAS HIT OUR CLIENTS. 71% OF OUR CLIENTS HAVE AN OPIATE ADDICTION, UP FROM THE PAST FEW YEARS AS WE ARE NOW SEEING INCREASES IN THE USE OF METHAMPHETAMINES AND ALCOHOL. OUR CLIENTS RECEIVED OVER 3,417 NIGHTS OF ROOM AND BOARD, ALONG WITH 521 HOURS OF INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING, AND 504 HOURS OF CASE MANAGEMENT.

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: OUR TYPICAL CLIENT BEGINS THEIR TREATMENT IN OUR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM AND THEN MOVES TO OUTPATIENT AS THEY ARE STABILIZED IN THEIR ADDICTION TREATMENT. WE HAVE TWO LOWER LEVELS OF CARE IN OUTPATIENT: INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT WHERE WE PROVIDE RECOVERY HOUSING ONSITE AND NON INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT WHERE THE CLIENTS LIVE OFFSITE. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2022, 130 WOMEN RECEIVED OUTPATIENT SERVICES AS WELL AS 3,759 BED DAYS FOR CHILDREN LIVING WITH THEIR MOTHERS.
