IGNITE PEACE EDUCATES AND ADVOCATES FOR PEACE, CHALLENGES UNJUST SYSTEMS, AND PROMOTES THE CREATION OF A NONVIOLENT SOCIETY. THROUGH FRAMEWORKS OF NONVIOLENCE AND ANTI-RACISM, IGNITE PEACE WORKS ON THE ISSUES OF IMMIGRATION JUSTICE AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE.

IMMIGRATION - IGNITE PEACE FULLY BELIEVES THAT IMMIGRANTS SHOULD BE WELCOMED TO THE UNITED STATES AND OUR CURRENT IMMIGRATION LAW DOES NOT SUPPORT THAT. THE GOAL OF IGNITE PEACE'S IMMIGRATION PROGRAM IS TO ENGAGE IMMIGRANTS, ALLIES, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON THE REALITIES OF OUR BROKEN IMMIGRATION SYSTEM SO THAT THEY CAN COME TOGETHER AND ADVOCATE FOR COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM


HUMAN TRAFFICKING - IGNITE PEACE WORKED TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT THE REALITIES AND NEEDS TO TRAFFICKED PEOPLE IN ORDER TO CREATE SYSTEMIC CHANGE. IN JANUARY 2023 IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT PROGRAM WOULD NO LONGER CONTINUE IN ITS SAME FORMAT AND THE FOCUS WOULD BE ON BROADER CRIMINAL JUSTICE WORK.


DEATH PENALTY - IGNITE PEACE WORKS TO ABOLISH THE DEATH PENALTY IN OHIO THROUGH EDUCATION, GRASSROOTS MOBILIZATION, AND GRASSROOTS LOBBYING TO REPEAL OHIO'S DEATH PENALTY LAWS. IGNITE PEACE WORKS IN A STATEWIDE NETWORK TO ORGANIZE GRASSROOTS AND FAITH BASED LEADERS TO SUPPORT DEATH PENALTY ABOLITION.
