WE SPARK CURIOSITY ABOUT ENERGY WITH STUDENTS AND TEACHERS THROUGH INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING: LEADERSHIP AND ENERGY WORKSHOPS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS, ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES, ENERGY CAREERS EXPLORATION AND TOURS & BLITZS

Part 3 - Line 4a

STEM DESIGN CHALLENGE: OEP PROVIDED AN INTERACTIVE PROGRAM CENTERING THE ENGINEERING DESIGN PROCESS TO SOLVE AN ENERGY PROBLEM. THE PROGRAM SPANNED ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY CLASSROOMS. PARTICIPATING TEACHERS RECEIVED THE CURRICULA, MATERIALS, AND ONGOING SUPPORT TO IMPLEMENT THE CHALLENGE IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. 296* TEACHERS AND 19,046* STUDENTS WERE IMPACTED BY THIS CLASSROOM PROGRAM. *SOME TEACHERS AND STUDENTS MAY HAVE PARTICIPATED IN BOTH THE ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY VERSIONS OF THE PROGRAM DEPENDING ON CLASSROOM NEEDS.


E3 - ENERGY, EFFICIENCY, ENVIROMENT: OEP PROVIDED A COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM TO CLASSROOMS ACROSS THE STATE. PARTICIPATING TEACHERS RECEIVED THE TRAINING, CURRICULA, MATERIALS, AND ONGOING INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT THEY NEEDED TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM SUCCESSFULLY IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. PARTICIPATING STUDENTS RECEIVED CURRICULA AND ENERGY CONSERVATION KITS TO TEACH THEIR PEERS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES HOW TO BE ENERGY STEWARDS IN THEIR EVERYDAY LIFE. 75 TEACHERS AND 4,556 STUDENTS WERE IMPACTED BY THIS CLASSROOM PROGRAM.


E3 SMART: OEP PROVIDED AN ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAM TO SELECT OHIO CLASSROOMS. PARTICIPATING TEACHERS RECEIVED THE TRAINING, CURRICULA, MATERIALS, AND ONGOING INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT THEY NEEDED TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM SUCCESSFULLY IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. PARTICIPATING STUDENTS RECEIVED CURRICULA AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY KITS TO SAVE THEIR FAMILIES ENERGY AND MONEY ON THEIR HOME UTILITY BILLS. 393 TEACHERS AND 25,193 STUDENTS WERE IMPACTED BY THIS CLASSROOM PROGRAM.
