TREATMENT SERVICES: ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG TREATMENT SERVICES. CULTURALLY RELEVANT GENDER SPECIFIC 12 WEEK OUTPATIENT PROGRAM FOR ADULTS. APDS OFFERS BOTH INTENSIVE AND NON INTENSIVE TREATMENT. REFERRALS TO RESIDENTIAL, MENTAL HEALTH AND OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES ARE MADE BASED ON CLIENT NEED.
PREVENTION SERVICES: SUMMER CAMP; APDS OFFERS A 10 WEEK SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES 6-12. APDS PROVIDES YOUTH WITH INSTRUCTION ON AOD AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION, REFUSAL AND COPING SKILLS, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE EDUCATION PROGRAM; APDS OFFERS A 16 WEEK PROGRAM FOR MALE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OFFENDERS. REFERRALS ARE MADE FROM THE COURT SYSTEM AND OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION. THE PROGRAM UTILIZES THE DULUTH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM MODEL. PARTICIPANTS ARE EDUCATED ON DYNAMICS OF THE POWER AND CONTROL WHEEL TO LEARN HEALTHY WAYS OF EXPRESSING THEMSELVES.
