THE SOCIETY PROVIDES MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITH EDUCATION THROUGH CONFERENCES HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WITH MEMBERS AND OUTSIDE SPEAKERS LEADING DISCUSSIONS AND DEMONSTRATIONS. TESTING FOR CERTIFICATION IS AVAILABLE TO INSURE THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF WORK FOR THE PROFESSION. PREPARATION CLASSES ARE OFFERED TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL. THE CHAPTER ALSO HAS SPECIAL EVENTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS STUDYING TO BE ARBORISTS AND TO DONATE MONEY TO THE TREE RESEARCH AND EDUCATION ENDOWMENT (TREE) FUND. ADDITIONAL DONATIONS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS MAY ALSO BE MADE. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES A BI-MONTHLY NEWLETTER, "THE BUCKEYE ARBORIST", TO ITS MEMBERS WHICH CONTAINS EDUCATIONAL ARTICLES.
