THE ASSOCIATION HAD A VERY ACTIVE YEAR AND OFFERED MULTIPLE ACTIVITIES TO EDUCATE AMERICANS ABOUT THE TURKISH CULTURE, OBSERVE AND CELEBRATE TURKISH NATIONAL/RELIGIOUS HOLIDAYS. THE APRIL 23 INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S DAY WAS ONE OF THE BEST ATTENDED EVENTS AS OVER 50 FAMILIES AND CHILDREN ATTENDED THE ACTIVITY. THE ASSOCIATION COLLABORATED WITH A MEMBER-OWNED PR COMPANY AND A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION IN TURKEY (ENGELSIZ YASAM VAKFI) AND ORGANIZED A FUND-RAISING DINNER EVENT TO CELEBRATE TAACO'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY AND 96TH ANNIVERSARY OF TURKISH REPUBLIC DAY IN OCTOBER, 2019. THE FUND-RAISING SPECIAL EVENT WAS WELL ATTENDED WITH OVER 100 ADULTS AND CHILDREN, AND RAISED OVER $7K AFTER THE EXPENSES. THE DONATIONS AND PROCEEDS FROM THE DINNER EVENT WERE DONATED TO THE CHARITIES FOR SUPPORTING NEEDY STUDENTS AND ENGELSIZ YASAM VAKFI IN TURKEY.
