DURING FISCAL YEAR 2021, EAST ALLEN FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER EXPANDED ITS AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM TO TWO ADDITIONAL SITES: WOODLAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND QUEEN OF ANGELS CATHOLIC SCHOOL. IN TOTAL, THE ORGANIZATION OPERATED ITS LEARN BEFORE-SCHOOL AND AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS AT THREE PUBLIC SCHOOL SITES AND TWO PAROCHIAL SCHOOL SITES. A TOTAL OF 288 CHILDREN IN GRADES K-8 WERE SERVED. THE ORGANIZATION'S 2021 READY-TO-LEARN BACKPACK GIVEAWAY DISTRIBUTED 655 BACKPACKS FILLED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN PRE-K THROUGH 12TH GRADE. THROUGH ITS 2021 FREE SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM, A TOTAL OF 7,469 MEALS WERE SERVED AT THREE LOCATIONS TO YOUTH 18 AND YOUNGER.
