THE ZANESVILLE MUSEUM OF ART IS A CATALYST IGNITING HUMAN IMAGINATION AND UNDERSTANDING THROUGH THE VISUAL ARTS UTILIZING ITS PERMANENT COLLECTION, FACILITIES, EXHIBITIONS, AND PUBLIC PROGRAMS TO ENHANCE THE CULTURAL LIFE OF THE COMMUNITY AND PRESERVE ITS HERITAGE.

THE ZANESVILLE MUSEUM OF ART OFFERED 166 EDUCATIONAL AND INTERPRETIVE PUBLIC PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE, INCLUDING 10 CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES, 2 BOOK DISCUSSIONS (1 ONLINE, 1 ONSITE), 3 LECTURES/GALLERY TALKS (1 ONLINE, 2 ONSITE), 3 OUTREACH CURRICULUM PRESENTATIONS, 2 VIRTUAL SCHOOL TOUR EXPERIENCES, 24 ONLINE TOUR EXPERIECNES, 6 ONSITE TOUR EXPERIENCES, 12 DOCENT TRAINING SESSIONS (3 ONLINE, 9 ONSITE), AND 104 ADDITIONAL ONLINE PROGRAMS


THE ZANESVILLE MUSEUM OF ART CURATED AND PRESENTED 6 TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS OF ART OBJECTS: THEMATIC SELECTIONS OF OVER 198 TOTAL WORKS FROM THE PERMANENT COLLECTION, AS WELL AS BY CONTEMPORARY OR HISTORIC OHIO ARTISTS, AND TRAVELING EXHIBITIONS LOANED FROM OTHER MUSEUMS OR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.


THE ZANESVILLE MUSEUM OF ART PROVIDES REGISTRATION, DOCUMENTATION, MAINTENANCE AND RECORD-KEEPING ON MORE THAN 8,430 ART OBJECTS IN THE PERMANENT COLLECTIONS OF THE MUSEUM FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. MARKETING, PUBLICATIONS AND MEMBER SERVICES ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE PROGRAM SERVICES THAT PROVIDE AN UNDERSTANDING FOR DIVERSE EXPRESSIONS, AND THE HONORING OF ARTISTIC/AESTHETIC ATTAINMENTS.
