ABIDING HOPE, INC. HELPS WOMEN AND FAMILIES IN NORTH BUNCOMBE AND MADISON COUNTIES THAT FACE AN UNPLANNED PREGNANCY. WE HELP WOMEN BY PROVIDING FREE PREGNANCY TESTS, FREE LIMITED OB ULTRASOUNDS AND SPEAKING TO THEM ABOUT THEIR OPTIONS. WE ALSO PROVIDE REFERRALS TO AGENCIES THAT CAN HELP THEM WITH HOUSING, FOOD, CLOTHING, AND/OR SAFETY IF NEEDED. WE TALK WITH THEM THROUGHOUT THEIR PREGNANCY SUPPORTING THE FAMILY IN GETTING READY FOR BABY. WE PROVIDE PARENTING CLASSES THAT CAN START IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER AND LAST THROUGH THE FIRST 2 YEARS OF LIFE. WHEN THEY COME IN FOR PARENTING CLASSES, THEY EARN POINTS TO GO SHOPPING IN OUR BABY CLOSET THAT CONTAINS MATERNITY CLOTHES, BABY ITEMS AND CLOTHES UP TO 2T. IF SOMEONE LOSES THEIR BABY DUE TO MISCARRIAGE OR ABORTION, WE HAVE WOMEN THAT CAN COME ALONGSIDE AND HELP THE FAMILY WORK THROUGH THEIR GRIEF.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PARENTING PROGRAM - INDIVIDUAL CLASSES WITH THE CLIENT AND FAMILY THAT HELP THEM PREPARE FOR ALL THINGS PREGNANCY AND BIRTH. OUR PARENTING PROGRAM DOESN'T STOP THERE AND HELPS FAMILIES WITH PARENTING ISSUES FROM BIRTH THROUGH 2 YEARS OLD. WE GIVE THEM RESOURCES TO HELP THEM PARENT. DURING 2022, THIS PROGRAM HAD 50 CLIENT VISITS.


ULTRASOUND - LIMITED OB THAT CONFIRMS THE PREGNANCY AND MAKES SURE IT IS NOT A TUBAL PREGNANCY. WE GIVE THEM INFORMATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR BABY AND CONTINUE TO HELP THEM GET INTO MEDICAL CARE AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO HELP THEM AS WELL AS REFER THEM TO OUR PARENTING PROGRAM. DURING 2022, THIS PROGRAM HAD 19 CLIENT VISITS.


PREGNANCY TEST - IS A URINE PREGNANCY TEST THAT CLIENTS COME IN TO TAKE AND THEN WE GIVE THEM EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS ON ALL OF THEIR CHOICES AND HOW TO GET INTO MEDICAL CARE. DURING 2022, THIS PROGRAM HAD 22 CLIENT VISITS.
