THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE CHESAPEAKE ORCHESTRA INC IS TO SUPPORT THE PERFORMANCES, COMMISSIONS, ARRANGEMENTS, RECORDINGS, STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS, FACULTY FELLOWSHIPS, MUSICIANS, AND MUSIC DIRECTOR OF THE CHESAPEAKE ORCHESTRA, SO TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL QUALITY CONCERTS OF CLASSICAL AND JAZZ MUSIC TO UNDERSERVED AREAS OF THE CHESAPEAKE REGION; AND TO PROVIDE CLASSICAL MUSIC TRAINING TO STUDENTS THROUGH OPPORTUNITIES WITH ITS MUSICIANS OF THE CHESAPEAKE ORCHESTRA AND THROUGH ITS EDUCATIONAL ARM, THE MARYLAND YOUTH SYMPHONY.

CHESAPEAKE ORCHESTRA INC. PROVIDED THE MUSICIANS OF THE CHESAPEAKE ORCHESTRA (OVER 100 PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS), RENOWNED GUEST SOLOISTS AND THE MUSIC DIRECTION FOR THE RIVER CONCERT SERIES PERFORMING FOR SOME 30,000 CONCERT GOERS OVER SIX LARGE SCALE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND JAZZ PROGRAMS.
THE CHESAPEAKE ORCHESTRA INC PRODUCED THE MARYLAND YOUTH SYMPHONY SEASON INCLUDING ALL RECRUITMENT OF STUDENTS, WEEKLY REHEARSALS, ASSISTING ARTISTS, SHEET MUSIC, MUSIC DIRECTION, AND THE FORMAL PUBLIC CONCERTS. ADDITIONALLY A GROUP OF STUDENTS GAINED PERFORMING EXPERIENCE ON TOUR AT THE ALBA MUSIC FESTIVAL IN ITALY.
THE CHESAPEAKE ORCHESTRA TOURED A KEY GROUP OF ITS MUSICIANS FROM THE ORCHESTRA AND A CONTINGENT OF ITS STUDENTS FROM THE MARYLAND YOUTH SYMPHONY TO THE ALBA MUSIC FESTIVAL IN ITALY TO PERFORM IN CONCERT FOR 10 DAYS
