EDUCATION AND FIELD TRIPS: PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY KEEPING A WEBSITE WITH INFORMATION ON RARE PLACE SPECIES IN NORTH CAROLINA, HOW PLANTS ARE DETERMINED TO BE CLASSIFIED AS ENDANGERED, THREATENED, OR SPECIAL CONCERN-VULNERABLE BOTH IN THE STATE AND ON FEDERAL LISTS. PROVIDING INFORMATION ON THE STATUS OF THESE PLANTS IN NORTH CAROLINA, WHETHER PROTECTED ON PRESERVES OR STILL IN NEED OF PROTECTION. PROVIDING SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS ON TOPICS OF PLANT CONSERVATION, PLANT GENETICS, HYDROLOGY, GEOLOGY, AND OTHER SIMILAR TOPICS RELATED TO PLANT CONSERVATION. DISTRIBUTING NEWSLETTERS AND ARTICLES OF INTEREST TO MEMBERS AND POSTING SAME TO THE WEBSITE FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
