THE WORLD GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL (WORLDGBC) IS A GLOBAL NETWORK WHO CATALYSES THE UPTAKE OF SUSTAINABLE BUILT ENVIRONMENTS FOR EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE. WORLDGBC WORKS TO ESTABLISH NEW MEMBER COUNCILS AND HAS GREEN BUILDING COUNCILS (GBCS) IN AROUND 70 COUNTRIES IN VARIOUS STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT. THE STAGES ARE PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS, EMERGING MEMBERS, AND ESTABLISHED MEMBERS. WORLDGBC CONDUCTS REGIONAL SEMINARS TO TEACH GBCS DIFFERENT THINGS SUCH AS: ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE, OFFICER/BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES, FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES, METHODS OF EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON THE BENEFITS OF GREEN BUILDING, ETC. WORLDGBC HAS AN ONLINE "BASECAMP" THAT HAS EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL SUCH AS: DEVELOPMENT GUIDES, SAMPLE BUSINESS PLANS AND POLICIES, LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL REPORT. WORLDGBC HAS FIVE REGIONAL NETWORKS WHICH IN 2023 SHARED BETTER PRACTICES AND KNOWLEDGE IN AREAS LIKE: GOVERNANCE, OPERATIONS, EDUCATION AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT.
IN 2021, WORLDGBC'S GLOBAL PROJECTS WERE: "ADVANCING NET ZERO AND "BETTER PLACES FOR PEOPLE AND WORK WAS UNDERTAKEN TO FORM WORLDGBC'S THIRD GLOBAL PROJECT, "THE CIRCULARITY ACCELERATOR". WORLDGBC'S GLOBAL PROJECTS AND PARTNERSHIPS ENABLE ITS MEMBERS TO CONNECT AND COLLABORATE SO THEY CAN ACHIEVE RESULTS FASTER AND MORE EFFECTIVELY. IN 2021 WORLDGBC BROUGHT TOGETHER ITS ESTABLISHED CEO NETWORK WITHS OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND CORPORATE ADVISORY BOARD (CAB) AT LEAST THREE TIMES A YEAR VIA VIDEO CALLS AND AN ONGOING BASIS USING BASECAMP TO INCREASE COLLABORATIONS BETWEEN THESE THREE PARTIES.
