THE HUMANITY SHARE (THS) WORKS HAND IN HAND WITH EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITIES TO BREAK CYCLES OF POVERTY AND BUILD SUSTAINABLE, EQUITABLE FUTURES. THS INVESTS IN COMMUNITY-LED INITIATIVES THAT ADDRESS ACCESS TO BASIC NEEDS, QUALITY EDUCATION, AND SUSTAINABLE INCOMES. IN 2023, THIS INCLUDED PROVIDING ACCESS TO SAFE, RELIABLE WATER TO 13,000 PEOPLE IN KENYA, PROVIDING MENTORSHIP AND COUNSELING SERVICES TO TEENAGE GIRLS IN KENYA, HOSTED 3 GIRLS EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCES, PROVIDED OVER 300 HYGIENE SUPPLY KITS, PROVIDED 43 UNIVERSITY AND 104 SECONDARY SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS TO GIRLS IN KENYA AND 34 TO GIRLS AND BOYS IN ETHIOPIA. ADDITIONALLY, WE INVESTED IN A SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE PROGRAM SUPPORTING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN. THS ALSO ENGAGED IN LOCAL ADVOCACY EVENTS TO BRING AWARENESS TO THE CHALLENGES CHILDREN FACE IN OUR PARTNER COMMUNITIES COMBATING PRACTICES SUCH AS FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION, EARLY MARRIAGE, AND CHAMPIONING THE IMPORTANCE OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR EDUCATION.
