THREE ANGELS CHILDREN'S RELIEF IS A MINISTRY THAT SERVES ORPHANS AND AT-RISK FAMILIES IN HAITI. OUR MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE ANGEL HOUSE ORPHANAGE, THE THREE ANGELS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY AND THREE ANGELS MEDICAL CLINIC.

ANGEL HOUSE ORPHANAGEAFTER 10 YEARS OF REOPENING, A TOTAL OF 34 CHILDREN HAVE GONE HOME, AND 14 CHILDREN ARE CURRENTLY IN OUR CARE. WE HAVE ADDED ADVANCED/CHALLENGING TOYS, BUILDING KITS, AND PUZZLES FOR THE OLDER CHILDREN IN OUR CARE. CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR STAFF HAS INCLUDED ATTACHMENT TECHNIQUES, WORKING WITH ABANDONED AND/OR TRAUMATIZED CHILDREN, SELF-CARE, AND HEALTH AND STRESS MANAGEMENT.THREE ANGELS CHRISTIAN ACADEMYTHE SCHOOL HAS EDUCATED 272 STUDENTS FROM PRESCHOOL THROUGH 6TH GRADE THIS SCHOOL YEAR. THE SECONDARY SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM INCLUDED 32 STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED PARTNERING SCHOOLS, AND WE HAD OUR SIXTH GENERATION OF STUDENTS GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL LAST JUNE. ALTHOUGH FOOD PRICES HAVE SHOWN STEADY INCREASE IN HAITI, WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE HOT MEALS FOR OVER 300 PEOPLE EACH SCHOOL DAY AT TACA WHEN CLASS IS IN SESSION. LAST YEAR, THE SCHOOL'S CALENDAR WAS ADJUSTED TO COMPENSATE FOR TIME LOST DUE TO PANDEMIC AND CIVIL UNREST SHUTDOWNS. SCHOOL REOPENED IN AUGUST TO FINISH UP THE YEAR, AND WE STARTED THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR IN OCTOBER. WE RECENTLY COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION ON A NEW AND EXPANDED SCHOOL LIBRARY AND MEDIA CENTER AT OUR KENBE FM FAMILY CENTER. MANY NEW AND EXCITING EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES WILL TAKE PLACE THERE, INCLUDING TECH SKILLS AND RESEARCH FOR BOTH STUDENTS AND TEACHING STAFF. MEDICAL CLINICOVER THE LAST YEAR, OUR CLINIC HAD OVER 3,000 PATIENT VISITS. FOR ALL 272 OF OUR STUDENTS, DAILY MULTIVITAMINS WERE PROVIDED WHILE SCHOOL WAS IN SESSION, AND WELL-CHILD EXAMS WERE CONDUCTED AND INCLUDED VISION CHECKS AND ANTI-WORMING MEDICATIONS. THE CLINIC STAYED OPEN TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE PANDEMIC. IN ADDITION, OUR MEDICAL TEAM USED EXTRA TIME TO PROVIDE IN-HOUSE TRAINING TO OUR STAFF ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS RANGING FROM STRESS MANAGEMENT TO TREATMENT OF WATER FOR DRINKING USE. COMMUNITY HEALTH SEMINARS WERE CONDUCTED MONTHLY WHEN POSSIBLE.
