OVERALL MINISTRY - CURBSIDE MINISTRIES IS A STREET MINISTRY THAT HAS SERVED IN THE ENTERPRISE DISTRICT OF WARREN AND BARREN COUNTIES OF KENTUCKY SINCE 2011. THE PRIMARY CITIES IN THESE COUNTIES ARE BOWLING GREEN AND GLASGOW. THE DISTRIBUTION OF FREE ICE CREAM AND MOBILE ACTIVITIES CENTER ATTRACTS RESIDENTS ALLOWING VOLUNTEERS "TO SHOW LOVE AND SHARE TRUTH BY CONNECTING WITH FAMILIES AND BY BUILDING AND SUSTAINING RELATIONSHIPS AND BY PROVIDING CREATIVE, PARTICIPATORY ACTIVITIES WITH THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD REGARDLESS OF RELIGIOUS BELIEFS, RACE, GENDER, ETHNICITY, AGE, DISABILITY, ETC." THE MOBILE ACTIVITIES CENTER IS A CUSTOMIZED VAN FULL OF FUN ACTIVITIES AND EQUIPPED WITH AN ICE CREAM FREEZER TO DISTRIBUTE FREE ICE CREAM TO UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN AND YOUTH. VOLUNTEERS BRING THEIR CONTAGIOUS FAITH TO THE STREETS WITH ENTHUSIASM AND SELFLESS LOVE TRANSCENDING PAST MULTIPLE GENERATIONAL, SOCIAL, RELIGIOUS, AND CULTURAL DIFFERENCES AND LANGUAGE BARRIERS. MANY PARTICIPANTS ARE FROM REFUGEE OR IMMIGRANT FAMILIES WITH NATIVE LANGUAGES, INCLUDING ARABIC, BURMESE, DARI, KAREN, BURUNDI, SOMALIA, SPANISH, SWAHILL, ETC. C3 CURBSIDE COMMUNITY CHURCH (CURBSIDE) HAS DONE SEVERAL OUTREACHES IN THE COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS ADDED A FEW NEW OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES. CURBSIDE LAUNCHED NEW PROGRAMS INSIDE CURBSIDE CONNECTION CENTER. CURBSIDE PARTNERED WITH A LOCAL TECHNICAL COLLEGE TO PROVIDE ENGLISH CLASSES FOR THE REFUGEE FAMILIES OF THEIR LEE POINTE LOCATION. THE CURBSIDE CONNECTION CENTER IS NOW BEING USED THREE TIMES A WEEK TO PROVIDE THESE EXCITING CLASSES TO HELP AREA FAMILIES TO BETTER LEARN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, BASIC SKILLS AND JOB TRAINING.
EMBRACE EMPATHY - THE SECOND OUTREACH AT PARKER BENNETT WAS EMBRACE EMPATHY. (E-SQUARRED AS THE KIDS LIKE TO REFER TO IT.) EMBRACE EMPATHY ARE ORIGINALLY TO SPEND THE WHOLE MONTH OF AUGUST LEARNING HOW TO PUT NEEDS AND INTEREST OF OTHERS BEFORE OURSELVES. HOW TO REALLY SHOW JESUS AT SCHOOL, HOME, AND COMMUNITIES. EMBRACE EMPATHY TOOK THE PARKER BENNETT AREA BY STORM. CURBSIDE IS NOW GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH AN EMBRACE EMPATHY LESSON EVERY MONDAY AT PARKER BENNETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. NOT ONLY ARE THE CURBSIDE CHILDERN HEARING ABOUT EMPATHY AT CUBSIDE, BUT NOW THEY ARE HEARING ABOUT IT EVERY WEEK AT SCHOOL. ALONE WITH PRAISE PARTIES AND EMBRACE EMPATHY CURBSIDE HAS ADDED COOKING CLASSES AT PARKER BENNETT. HOLIDAY EVENTS - HOLIDAY EVENTS FINISH OFF THE YEAR. CHILDERN LOVE "CHAIR2CHAIR" CANDY CRAZE (SIMPLIFIED TRUNK-OR-TREAT)
CAMP CURBSIDE - A SECOND CAMP CURBSIDE THAT HAD SO MANY CURBSIDE KIDDOS INTERESTED IN ATTENDING, THE NUMBER OF ATTENDEES ALLOWED HAD TO BE DOUBLED. THE CHILDERN PLAY GAMES, MAKE CRAFTS, HAVE COLOR WARS, LAUGHED A LOT, LEARNED A LOT ABOUT JESUS, AND SCREAMED JOHN 3:16 UNTILL ALL VOICES WERE GONE, AND EVEN A FEW ACCEPTED A RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST THAT WEEK.
CURBSIDE JUMPERS & PRAISE PARTIES - A JUMP ROPE TEAM WHICH IS MADE UP OF SEVERAL KIDS FROM THE LEE POINTE AREA HAS ADDED OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES AT PARKER BENNETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE FIRST WAS "PRODIGAL PRAISE PARTIES." PRAISE PARTIES ARE A WAY TO CELEBRATE THE LOVE THE LEADERS AND VOLUNTEERS HAVE FOR THE CHILDERN AT CURBSIDE. PRAISE PARTIES HAPPEN RANDOMLY AND THERE WAS NO REQUIREMENT TO BE CHOSEN AS A PRAISE PARTY RECIPIENT. THE PARKER BENNETT LEADERSHIP TEAM DECIDED WHO THE RECIPIENTS WILL BE. THE PRAISE PARTY KIDDOS ARE RECOGNIZED AND GIVEN A SPECIAL BASKET OF GOODIES. THERE ARE CAKES, GIFTS, BALLOONS, AND HAND WRITTEN LETTERS. THE WHOLE NIGHT IS TAKEN TO CELEBRATE THE LOVE EVERYONE HAS FOR THE TWO CURBSIDE PRAISE RECIPIENTS. PRAISE PARTIES ARE BECOMMING ONE OF THE FAVORITE EVENTS. WHO DOESN'T LOVE THE RANDOM NIGHT TO JUST HAVE A PARTY TO SHOW THE LOVE OF JESUS?
