PARTIAL COSTS OF THE PUBLICATION OF THE BOOK "TEN THOUSAND VOICES: A HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA GLEE CLUB AND ITS TIMES" WRITTEN BY VGC ALUMNI TIM JARRETT. THIS BOOK IS A DETAILED ACCOUNT OF THE HISTORY OF THE VIRGINIA GLEE CLUB FROM ITS INCEPTION IN 1871 THROUGH 2020 AVAILABLE ON AMAZON AND AT GLEE CLUB EVENTS.
TWO LIVE CHRISTMAS CONCERTS WERE GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC. APPROXIMATELY 500 INDIVIDUALS ATTENDED PLUS THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE TO THE MEMBERS OF SETTING UP A CONCERT AND PERFORMING. A LIVE STREAM WAS PROVIDED OF THE SECOND CONCERT AND IS AVAILABLE ON YOUTUBE.
A 150TH REUNION POSTPONED FOR A YEAR DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS WAS HELD DURING MARCH 2022. OVER 100 ALUMNI AND CURRENT MEMBERS WERE IN ATTENDANCE AND INCLUDED A WELCOME CELEBRATION CHORAL WORKSHOPS AND AN EVENING GALA.
