COMBATING POVERTY IS MULTIFACETED, WHICH IS WHY WE OPERATE A COMMUNITY CENTER TO HOLISTICALLY EMPOWER AND UPLIFT THE PEOPLE OF NAKUWADDE,UGANDA. THE CENTER SERVES 300-500 PEOPLE PER DAY, OFFERS FREE EDUCATION SERVICES SUCH AS SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY, ADULT ENGLISH CLASSES, AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING AND CREATIVE BASED ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS MEDICAL OUTREACHES, A WELL STOCKED LIBRARY, A WOMAN'S SUPPORT GROUP, AND EVEN AIAS OWN BRACELET MAKING PROGRAM. THROUGH THE CENTER, ACTION IN AFRICA INSPIRES INDIVIDUALS TO REACH THEIR UNTAPPED POTENTIAL TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE, EDUCATED AND EMPOWERED CITIZENS OF UGANDA.

SCHOLARSHIPS,SECONDARY LEVEL, UNIVERSITY AND SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOLARSHIPS GRANTED BY ACTION IN AFRICA. THE SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS HELP PAY THE SCHOOLING COSTS FOR 117 SECONDARY STUDENTS, THE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS PAY FOR 19 RECIPIENTS AND THE SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOLARSHIPS PAY FOR 3 RECIPIENTS.
