Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
EXPENSES REPRESENT VETERINARIAN COSTS FOR RESCUED DOGS. THIS INCLUDES VETERINARY EXPENSES FOR DOGS WHEN THEY ARE FIRST BROUGHT INTO THE PROGRAM, AS WELL AS ONGOING MEDICAL COSTS FOR DOGS THAT ARE FOSTERED UNTIL ADOPTION OR ARE 'FOREVER FOSTERS'. AS MANY OF OUR DOGS ARE DISABLED, INJURED AND/OR IN NEED OF EXTENSIVE MEDICAL ATTENTION, OR ARE SENIOR DOGS, VETERINARY COSTS REPRESENT NEARLY HALF OUR TOTAL EXPENSES. FOR 2021, SNOOTY GIGGLE HAS INTAKES OF 194 DOGS AND DURING THE YEAR ADOPTED OVER 186 OF OUR ANIMALS.
PROJECT REWARD: SNOOTY GIGGLES LEAVES A HOUSE ON 20+ ACRES WHERE OUR FULL-TIME TRAINERS REHABILITATE, QUARANTINE, AND TRAIN DOGS THAT ENTER OUR PROGRAM THAT REQUIRE HELP BEFORE BEING PLACED IN FOSTER/ADOPTION; THIS ALLOWS US TO DAVE MORE DOGS FROM EUTHENASIA. THE MAJORITY OF FUNDING FOR THIS PROGRAM IS FROM ONE DONOR. ALSO, SNOOTY GIGGLES OFFERS FREE OBEDIENCE TRAINING AND BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION ASSISTANCE TO DOG OWNERS AT THE PROPERTY. THE REVENUE BALANCE ABOVE REFLECTS UNSOLICITED CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THOSE WISHING TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT REWARD TRAINING CLASSES. EXPENSES REPRESENT ALL COSTS TO RUN THE PROPERTY, INCLUDING IN-KIND RENT (NON-CASH TRANSACTION)AND PAY THE WAGES OF THE TWO DOG TRAINERS.
THIS EXPENSE REPRESENTS AMOUNTS PAID FOR SUPPLIES FOR OUR RESCUE DOGS. AT SNOOTY GIGGGLES, WHEN A DOG IS PLACED INTO THE PROGRAM AND NOT YET ADOPTED, IT WILL REMAIN AT THE FOSTER HOME. SNOOTY GIGGLES PROVIDES ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDING FOOD, CRAES, TOYS, COLLARS, LEASHES, TREATS, ETC., IN ADDITION TO BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR THE VETERINARY COSTS AS NOTED ABOVE. OUT POLICY IS THAT FOSTERING SHOULD NEVER COST A FOSTER FAMILY ANY EXTRA MONEY. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF DOGS IN OUR PROGRAM THAT ARE CONSIDERED FOREVER FOSTERS, AND WE PAY THE SUPPLY COSTS FOR THESE DOGS FOR THE DURATION OF THEIR LIVES ON BEHALF OF THEIR FOSTER FAMILIES.
