Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
THIS PAST YEAR NAAMAN'S RECOVERY VILLAGE HAS BEEN ABLE TO SERVE MORE THAN A DOZEN MEN IN RECOVERY. WE CONTINUE TO SEE MEN REMAIN WITH A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT TO THEIR OWN RECOVERY AND DISCIPLESHIP. TWO OF THE GRADUATES CONTINUE TO SERVE THE MINISTRY, ONE IN OUR PRINTING AND EMBROIDERY SHOP AND THE OTHER IN OUR THRIFT STORE. IN ADDITION TO THEM, WE CURRENTLY HAVE TWO OTHER GRADUATES THAT COME BACK TO SUPPORT THE MEN BY PARTICIPATING IN BIBLE AND OTHER STUDIES. FROM A PROGRAMMING STANDPOINT WE ARE BLESSED TO CONTINUE NAAMAN'S SCREEN PRINTING AND EMBROIDERY AS A VOCATIONAL MINISTRY. THIS IS A FULL-SERVICE PRINTING AND EMBROIDERY SHOP AND OFFERS THE MEN IN THE PROGRAM AN OPPORTUNITY FOR REAL WORK EXPERIENCE INCORPORATED INTO OUR REGULAR SCHEDULE OF CLASSES, MEETINGS AND WORSHIP. THIS OFFERS AN ADDITIONAL AREA WITHIN OUR VOCATIONAL MINISTRIES, ALONG WITH WORK IN OUR NAAMAN'S COMMUNITY THRIFT STORE, FOR THE MEN TO ESTABLISH A STRONG WORK ETHIC AND BUILD ADDITIONAL WORK SKILLS. WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO HOUSE UP TO 11 CLIENTS AND RESIDENT STAFF MEMBERS AND TYPICALLY AVERAGE AROUND 7 OR 8 IN RESIDENCE. THE PANDEMIC AFFECTED OUR MINISTRY GREATLY IN 2020, LIMITING THE AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS, OUTSIDE MEETINGS AND CHURCH ACTIVITIES. IT CAUSED THE CANCELLATION OF OUR ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT AND OTHER FUNDRAISERS. OUR THRIFT STORE WAS CLOSED FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE YEAR. OUR SCREEN PRINTING AND EMBROIDERY THAT HAD GROWN TO SUPPORT MUCH OF OUR MINISTRY WAS ESSENTIALLY SHUTDOWN FOR ABOUT 70% OF THE YEAR AS OUR CUSTOMER BASE OF SMALL BUSINESS, SPORT TEAMS, SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, AND PERSONAL GATHERINGS ALL WERE SHUTDOWN. OUR BUSINESS IS COMING BACK IN 2021, BUT THIS HAS BEEN A HUGE IMPACT.
