Part 3 - Line 4a
PRIMA BEGAN IN 2010 WITH A GROUP OF THEATRE PROFESSIONALS WHO WERE PASSIONATE ABOUT CREATING SOMETHING EXCITING IN LANCASTER. THE DREAM WAS TO SHAKE UP THE CULTURAL STATUS QUO. NOW ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING PERFORMING ARTS ORGANIZATION IN THE REGION, PRIMA CONTINUES TO UNITE AROUND THE VISION TO INVIGORATE LIVES THROUGH FRESH THEATRICAL EXPERIENCES.EXECUTIVE PRODUCER MITCH NUGENT AND HIS WIFE DIANA FOUNDED PRIMA WITH THE BELIEF THAT THE ARTS ARE AT THEIR BEST WHEN THEY ARE RELEVANT AND ENGAGING. THE NUGENTS STARTED BY BRINGING TOGETHER THE REGION'S FINEST TALENT FOR BENEFIT PERFORMANCES AND CABARETS. THE COMMUNITY'S RESPONSE WAS OUTSTANDING, RAISING SUBSTANTIAL FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHARITIES, ALL WHILE PERFORMING TO PACKED VENUES. PRIMA STARTED WITH CABARETS AT PRINCE STREET CAFE, AND WAS STAMPED AS 'ON THE SCENE' IN 2011 WITH PRODUCTIONS LIKE CHESS. SINCE THEN, PRIMA HAS SINCE PRODUCED MAIN-STAGE MUSICALS, CONCERTS, AND CABARETS, INCLUDING NUMEROUS BROADWAY GUEST PERFORMANCES.THE NON-PROFIT PRODUCTION ORGANIZATION IS KNOWN FOR ITS INNOVATION, NOT ONLY IN PROGRAMMING BUT ALSO IN COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND FUNDRAISING. WORKING WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES, PRIMA OFFERS INFLUENTIAL HANDS-ON INTERNSHIPS, SUBSIDIZED TICKET OPPORTUNITIES AND EDUCATIONAL ENGAGEMENTS THROUGH THE YOUTH EXPERIENCE INITIATIVE.LANCASTER IS INCREASINGLY BECOMING A MORE VIBRANT PLACE THANKS TO THE MANY COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT DO THEIR PART IN CREATING AN ENERGETIC CULTURAL EXPERIENCE IN OUR REGION. THE TEAM AT PRIMA IS PROUD TO PLAY A PART IN THESE EFFORTS
PRIMA ARTS, INC. HOLDS EVENTS AT THE CLIENT'S LOCATION FOR CORPORATE AND PERSONAL ENTERTAINMENT. THESE FUNDING EFFORTS, IN ADDITION TO CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL SPONSORSHIPS, HAVE MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR PRIMA TO BRING THE REGION'S FINEST TALENT TOGETHER, CREATING CONTEMPORARY MUSICAL THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES TO WHICH A SMALL CITY LIKE LANCASTER WOULD NOT HAVE HAD ACCESS.
