CONSERVATION: ACTIVITIES THAT FOSTER APPRECIATION, AND AID IN THE PRESERVATION, OF HUNTING AND FISHING TRADITIONS: USA HOSTS A SERIES OF EVENTS IN WHICH MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC PARTICIPATE IN HUNTING AND FISHING RELATED ACTIVITIES. USA ALSO SPONSORS A CONSERVATION PROGRAM THAT UTILIZES ITS MEMBERS SKILLS AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS TO IMPLEMENT CONSERVATION IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FISH AND WILDLIFE HABITATS AND/OR IMPROVE THE PUBLICS ACCESS TO FISH AND WILDLIFE HABITATS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES.
EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION: USA HOSTS A WEBSITE AND A MAGAZINE THAT IS PUBLISHED QUARTERLY TO COMMUNICATE TO ITS MEMBERS AND PUBLIC REGARDING (I) ITS CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES; (II) EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL ABOUT HUNTING AND FISHING; (III) THE IMPORTANCE OF PRESERVING THE UNITED STATES HUNTING AND FISHING HERITAGE. TELEVISION SHOW: USA SPONSORS A TELEVISION SHOW, "BROTHERHOOD OUTDOORS", WHICH CELEBRATES HARDWORKING UNION SPORTSMEN AND WOMEN FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY. THE TELEVISION SHOW SPOTLIGHTS USA MEMBERS AND THEIR EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THEIR COMMUNITIES, PROMOTE CONSERVATION, AND PRESERVE HUNTING AND FISHING TRADITIONS.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES: THE USA HAS 17 CHARTER UNION MEMBERS AND OVER 280,000 MEMBERS INCLUDING INDIVIDUAL CHARTER, NON-CHARTER AND NON-UNION MEMBERS. MEMBERSHIP SERVICES EXPENSES INCLUDE THE DIRECT COSTS OF PROVIDING GOODS AND SERVICES TO EXISTING MEMBERS AND EXPENSES TO FOSTER AWARENESS OF THE VARIOUS PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND EVENTS OFFERED BY THE USA, THE USA'S OVERALL MISSION AND TO PROMOTE THE CONTINUED GROWTH OF THE USA AS A WHOLE.
