MILWAUKEE WOMEN INC. IS DEDICATED TO PROMOTING AND PROVIDING RESEARCH AND EDUCATION CONCERNING THE VALUE OF DIVERSITY IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT AND ELIMINATING BARRIERS TO FULL INCLUSION OF WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS.

MWI CONDUCTS RESEARCH ONCE EACH YEAR TO BENCHMARK THE NUMBER OF WOMEN ON THE BOARDS OF THE TOP 50 LARGEST PUBLIC COMPANIES IN WISCONSIN. THE LAST FOUR YEARS THE RESEARCH HAS INCLUDED THE NUMBER OF WOMEN EXECUTIVES OF THE TOP 50 LARGEST PUBLIC COMPANIES. THIS INFORMATION IS SHARED WITH FUNDERS, COMPANY CEOS, AND THE GENERAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY THROUGH OUR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS AND STEERING COMMITTEE MEMBERS. IN ADDITION, MWI PRODUCES PERIODIC LINKEDIN UPDATES TO INFORM MEMBERS OF MWI'S LINKEDIN COMMUNITY ABOUT TRENDS IN THE ARENA OF WOMEN IN CORPORATE LEADERSHIP ROLES, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CORPORATE PARTNERS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS.


MWI COMMUNICATIONS ARE SENT TO MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY PERIODICALLY VIA EMAIL AND NEWSLETTERS AS NEEDED REGARDING PROGRAMMING, THE BUSINESS LANDSCAPE, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVOLVEMENT. ADDITIONALLY, MWI'S WEBSITE ALLOWS INTERESTED WOMEN TO LEARN MORE ABOUT MWI, BOARD DEVELOPMENT, CURRENT RESEARCH, BOARD APPOINTMENTS, AND EVENTS. WE ALSO COMMUNICATE THROUGH LINKEDIN, FACEBOOK, TWITTER AND POST RELEVANT INFORMATION ON A REGULAR BASIS. REPUTATION PARTNERS WAS CONTRACTED TO PROVIDE PUBLIC RELATIONS COUNSEL AND EXECUTION FOR MWI. MWI CREATED VIDEOS THAT TELLS MWI'S STORY AND CELEBRATES THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS ON THE ISSUE OF BOARD DIVERSITY. VIDEO AUDIENCE INCLUDES CORPORATE SECTOR, EXECUTIVE WOMEN, ASSOCIATIONS, MEDIA, AND THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY.


THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ENGAGED SILVER ROCK CONSULTING TO LEAD A STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS WHICH INVOLVED A WORKING SESSION AND RESULTED IN A SUMMARY OF NEW STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS FOR THE ORGANIZATION OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS.
