CAPACITY BUILDING: PROVIDES TRAINING FOR ALL PROFESSIONALS INVOLVED IN THE CONTINUUM OF THE GAMBLING SUPPORT SERVICE SYSTEM, INCLUDING: OPERATORS, REGULATORS, PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, AND TREATMENT PROFESSIONALS. THROUGH THESE EFFORTS, PGNO ENHANCES THE WORFORCE'S KNOWLEDGE IN IDENTIFYING, SCREENING, AND TREATING THOSE WITH A GAMBLING PROBLEM OR GAMBLING USE DISORDER.
WARM TRANSFER: COORDINATE WITH THE OHIO PROBLEM GAMBLING HELPLINE, HAVE CERTIFIED GAMBLING COUNSELORS AVAILABLE DURING NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS TO PROVIDE TRIAGE SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO CALL THE HELPLINE. IN ADDITION TO THE ON-CALL SERVICES, PGNO ALSO CONDUCTS MONTHLY QUALITY ASSURANCE CALLS TO THE HELPLINE AND THE REFERRAL PROVIDERS TO ENSURE THAT THE RESOURCES AND REFERRALS ARE MOST APPROPRIATE FOR THE CALLERS.
