THE MISSION OF HAITIAN FAMILIES FIRST, INC. (ORGANIZATION) IS TO PRESERVE AND SUSTAIN FAMILIES BY HELPING THEM FIND EMPLOYMENT, SUPPLY THEIR LOVED ONE'S MOST BASIC NEEDS, AND PROVIDE FOR THEIR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION AND CARE, WITH THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF PREVENTING CHILDREN FROM BECOMING ORPHANS DUE TO POVERTY. THE POOREST NATION IN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE, HAITI LACKS THE RESOURCES TO PROVIDE THE SOCIAL SERVICES THAT ARE OFTEN NECESSARY TO SUPPORT FAMILIES BOTH IN TIME OF CRISIS AND IN THEIR DAILY LIVES. THE ORGANIZATION HELPS PREVENT CHILDREN FROM BECOMING ORPHANS DUE TO POVERTY THROUGH THREE MAJOR PROGRAMS - FORMULA AND NUTRITION, HEALTH AND WELLNESS, AND EDUCATION.
