THE MARGINALIZED: IN 2020, CFJ BEGAN SHIFTING OUR PROGRAM INITIATIVE, THE MARGINALIZED, TO LEGACY STATUS BY PRIMARILY FOCUSING ON OUR REMAINING ACTIVE PROGRAM FOR REFUGEE EDUCATION. THROUGH OUR GRANT MAKING INITIATIVES, CFJ PARTNERED WITH A VARIETY OF ORGANIZATIONS TO ADVANCE AND PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF THE VULNERABLE.
TRIALWATCH: CFJ CONTINUES TO OPERATE ITS TRIALWATCH PROGRAM INITIATIVE, WHICH AIMS TO REPRESENT VICTIMS OF INJUSTICE AND PROMOTE THE RULE OF LAW AROUND THE WORLD. WE MONITOR CRIMINAL TRIALS GLOBALLY AGAINST THOSE WHO ARE MOST VULNERABLE -- JOURNALISTS, PROTESTERS, WOMEN, LGBTQ+ PERSONS AND MINORITIES -- AND ADVOCATE FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE UNFAIRLY DETAINED.
