CUGH'S LARGEST PROGRAMS ARE OUR MEMBERSHIP AND OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE. CUGH ALSO PRODUCES WEBINAR SERIES, AND HAS COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT IN EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, AND RESEARCH. A CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED THROUGH WWW.CUGHCAPACITYBUILDING.ORG IN ADDITION TO LEADERSHIP INTERVIEW SERIES. ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND WEBINARSTHE CUGH ANNUAL CONFERENCE HAS BECOME THE WORLD'S LEADING ACADEMIC GLOBAL HEALTH CONFERENCE. SINCE ITS INAUGURAL MEETING IN 2008, THE NUMBER OF REGISTERED ATTENDEES HAS GROWN FROM 327 TO MORE THAN 1,800. THE HOST INSTITUTIONS WERE M8 ALLIANCE, WORLD HEALTH SUMMIT, GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY, MAKERERE UNIVERSITY, JOHNS HOPKINS CENTER FOR GLOBAL HEALTH, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, AND ASSOCIATION OF ACADEMIC HEALTH CENTERS INTERNATIONAL. ITS THEME WAS 'GLOBAL HEALTH AT A CROSSROADS: EQUITY, CLIMATE CHANGE AND MICROBIAL THREATS.' 445 POSTERS WERE SHOWN AND 1660 PEOPLE REGISTERED FOR THE MEETING. IN ADDITION, BETWEEN APRIL 3RD-APRIL 7TH, CUGH HOSTED 17 FREE VIRTUAL SATELLITE SESSIONS ON A BROAD RANGE OF CONTEMPORARY GLOBAL HEALTH CHALLENGES. ON APRIL 13TH, CUGH HOSTED 17 FREE IN-PERSON SATELLITE SESSIONS. 1439 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE VIRTUAL SATELLITE SESSIONS, AND 1,119 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE IN-PERSON SATELLITE SESSIONS. WITH THE SATELLITE SESSION AND CONFERENCE COMBINED, INDIVIDUALS FROM OVER 148 COUNTRIES PARTICIPATED IN THE MEETINGS. ATTENDEES SHARED KNOWLEDGE, IDENTIFIED NEW COLLABORATORS, AND HEARD CUTTING-EDGE INFORMATION ON HOW TO ADDRESS SOME OF THE BIG CHALLENGES WE ARE FACING.CDC PROJECT- PROJECT YEAR END WAS AUGUST 14TH, 2021 (CONTINUED AUGUST 15TH, 2021-SEPTEMBER 14TH, 2023) THE PHI/CDC GLOBAL HEALTH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM (PHI/CDC), IMPLEMENTED BY THE PUBLIC HEALTH INSTITUTE (PHI), ASSISTS THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION (CDC) IN STRENGTHENING THE GLOBAL PUBLIC HEALTH WORKFORCE. IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CONSORTIUM OF UNIVERSITIES FOR GLOBAL HEALTH (CUGH), THE WORLD'S LARGEST CONSORTIUM OF ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, PHI/CDC IS WORKING TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A GLOBAL HEALTH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS, GRADUATES, AND EMERGING PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONALS. THIS FELLOWSHIP EMPHASIZES IN STRENGTHENING CAPACITIES IN EPIDEMIOLOGY, HIV PREVENTION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION, STRATEGIC INFORMATION, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT AND SURVEILLANCE. THROUGH OTHER PROMINENT GLOBAL HEALTH FELLOWSHIPS, PHI HAS ESTABLISHED A REPUTATION FOR DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING HIGH QUALITY PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE A MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE TO THEIR PARTICIPANTS. DURING ITS LAST YEAR UNDER PHI MANAGEMENT (PY6), PHI AIMS TO SUPPORT THE CDC IN ITS MISSION TO CREATE A COHORT OF TALENTED PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONALS TO CONTRIBUTE TO ACCOMPLISHING THE AGENCIES' WORK AND GOALS.
