SPECIAL PROJECT: AUTHORED PROVIDED LEADERSHIP, RESEARCH, ANALYSIS, ADVOCACY, AND SUPPORT FOR THE FOLLOWING MAJOR PROJECTS: LAUNCHED COVID-19 TRUSTED MESSENGERS SOCIAL CAMPAIGN VIDEOS ON THE IMPACT OF HIGH-RISK POPULATIONS, HOSTED LISTENING TOUR OF NHC MEMBERS TO PROMOTE HEALTH EQUITY PRIORITIES IN THE PATIENT COMMUNITY, PUBLISHED FOUR RESEARCH BRIEFS, CO-AUTHORED FIVE PEER-REVIEWED PUBLICATIONS ON; ENHANCING PATIENT CENTRICITY OF REAL-WORLD DATA RESEARCH, DEVELOPING PATIENT-CENTERED REAL-WORLD EVIDENCE, PATIENT-CENTERED CORE IMPACTS SETS, CO-CREATION OF THE GLOBAL PATIENT EXPERIENCE DATA NAVIGATOR.


CONFERENCES: THE NHC HELD ITS ANNUAL 2-DAY HEALTH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IN CORAL GABLES, FL BRINGING OVER 130 CEO, SENIOR STAFF, AND BOARD VOLUNTEER ATTENDEES FROM NHC MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS. THE NHC HOSTED ITS 6TH ANNUAL SCIENCE OF PATIENT ENGAGEMENT SYMPOSIUM AT THE NATIONAL PRESS CLUB IN WASHINGTON, DC, BRINGING TOGETHER RESEARCH LEADERS FROM ALL MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND VARIOUS REPRESENTATIVES AND EXPERTS FROM THE HEALTH CARE FIELD. MORE THAN 150 SCIENTISTS AND PATIENT ADVOCATES EXPLORED THE TIMELY TOPIC OF PATIENT ENGAGEMENT IN THE DIGITAL HEALTH ERA. THE NHC HOSTED ITS INAUGURAL WASHINGTON REPRESENTATIVE SUMMER MEETING IN JULY BRINGING OVER 100 POLICY AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS PROFESSIONALS TO DISCUSS HEALTH CARE LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES. THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY THE NHCS ANNUAL WASHINGTON REPRESENTATIVE RETREAT HELD IN ANNAPOLIS, MD IN FALL, BRINGING OVER 100 POLICY AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS PROFESSIONALS FROM NHC MEMBERS TO PROVIDE INPUT IN DEVELOPING NHCS LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES.


MEMBER SERVICES: THE NHC PROVIDED INFORMATION AND SUPPORT TO MEMBERS THROUGH POLICY AND ADVOCACY INITIATIVES, LEGISLATIVE/REGULATORY ACTIVITIES, AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT THROUGH THE FOLLOWING MEMBER PROJECTS: CONTINUED EXECUTION OF THE NHCS 2022-2024 STRATEGIC PLAN; ADVANCED THE NHCS HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVE BY DEVELOPING AND PROMOTING POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE FOUR PRIORITY AREAS IN THE HEALTH EQUITY CONSENSUS STATEMENT AND PUBLISHED A REPORT ON INCLUSIVE WORKPLACES: BUILDING A REPRESENTATIVE WORKFORCE; EXECUTION OF POLICY AND ADVOCACY INITIATIVES AND LEGISLATIVE/REGULATORY ACTIVITIES SUCH AS LEADING EFFORTS ON UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT, STRENGTHENING THE ACA MARKETPLACES AND MEDICAID, SECURING PROVISIONS IN THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT TO HELP MAKE DRUG PRICES MORE AFFORDABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS; TECHNICAL SUPPORT THROUGH MEMBER PROJECTS INCLUDING PATIENT ORGANIZATION (PO) STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM, WASHINGTON REPRESENTATIVES RETREAT AND NEW SUMMER MEETING, AFFINITY GROUP EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS AND MEETINGS, ANNUAL REVENUE AND COMPENSATION SURVEYS, MONTHLY POLICY ACTION TEAMS; CONTINUING OUR WORK IN AREAS SUCH AS HEALTH EQUITY, PATIENT EXPERIENCE MAPPING TOOLBOX AND PATIENT-CENTERED CORE IMPACT SETS (PC-CIS); AND NHC STAFF PARTICIPATION IN PANELS, TASK FORCES, ADVISORY COMMITTEES, AND PRESENTATIONS IN COLLABORATION WITH GOVERNMENTAL, BUSINESS/INDUSTRY, AND OTHER HEALTH CARE SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS.
