PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - AWARENESS AND RECOGNITION: ONE OF THE CRITICAL ELEMENTS OF WI-AIMH'S WORK HAS BEEN DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL CAPACITY FOR ALL THOSE WHO WORK WITH OR ON BEHALF OF INFANTS, TODDLERS, AND THEIR FAMILIES. WI-AIMH IS THE ONLY AGENCY IN WISCONSIN TO HOLD AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED LICENSE (IMH ENDORSEMENT) TO CREDENTIAL PROFESSIONALS TO ENSURE THEY MAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS OF PRACTICE. IMH ENDORSEMENT VERIFIES THAT A PROFESSIONAL HAS ATTAINED UNIQUE KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE WITHIN THEIR ROLE TO SUPPORT OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT OF INFANTS, YOUNG CHIDLREN AND THEIR FAMILIES AND DO SO WITHIN THE CULTURALY RESPONSIVE AND EQUITABLE LENS. WI-AIMH COORDINATES WISCONSIN PYRAMID MODEL FOR SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL COMPETENCE. PYRAMID MODEL, FUNDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, IS AN EVIDENCE-BASED MULTI-TIERED SYSTEM OF SUPPORT FOR PARENTS AND PROFESSIONALS TO PROMOTE OPTIMAL SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF INFANTS AND YOUNG CHILDREN AND PREVENT CHALLENGING BEHAVIORS. WE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS IN LIGHT OF THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, WHICH MEANT THAT WE OFFERED MANY TRAININGS IN A VIRTUAL FORMAT AND YET WERE ABLE TO OFFER SOME AS A HYBRID. OVERALL, 80 TRAININGS WERE HELD IN 2021 FOR 747 PROFESSION. WE SHIFTED OUR IMPLEMENTATION ACADEMY TO A VIRTUAL FORMAT AND LAUNCHED NEW PROGRAM-WIDE IMPLEMENTATION SITES. IN 2021, THE WISCONSIN PYRAMID MODEL PROVIDED TRAINING TO 186 INDIVIDUALS WHO SERVE ON PROGRAM LEADERSHIP TEAMS. WE WERE ABLE TO WORK WITH 3 EXPERIENCED SPANISH SPEAKING PYRAMID MODEL TRAINERES TO PILOT THE NATIONAL NACIMIENTO E-MODULES AS A SPANISH LANGUAGE OPTION OF WISCONSIN'S E-MODULES WITH REFLECTIVE COACHING. WE CONTINUED OUR WORK ON THE VIRUTAL SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL EXHIBIT - A PLACE FOR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE MAGICAL EARLY YEARS AND UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF EARLY RELATIONSHIPS. WI-AIMH IS A MEMBER OF THE PYRAMID MODEL CONSORTIUM.PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - EDUCATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING: IN 2017, WI-AIMH DEVELOPED AND LAUNCHED REFLECTIVE SUPERVISION LEARNING COLLABORATIVE - A 12 MONTHS-LONG OPPORTUNITY FOR INFANT/EARLY CHILDHOOD SUPERVISORS TO LEARN ABOUT, EXPERIENCE AND IMPLEMENT REFLECTIVE SUPERIVISION IN THEIR PROGRAMS. IN 2021, COHORT NUMBER 4 WAS LAUNCHED. THIS COHORT WAS COMPRISED OF 33 SUPERVISORS WHO WORK IN EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION, CHILD WELFARE, OCCUPATIONL THERAPY, MENTAL HEALTH, HEAD START, FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER, PUBLIC HEALTH. CONFERENCE - DUE TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, WI-AIMH HOSTED OUR ANNUAL WISCONSIN INFANT AND EARLY CHILDHOOD MENTAL HEALTH CONFERENCE VIRTUALLY AGAIN. OVER 350 PEOPLE FROM AROUND THE STATE WERE ABLE TO ATTEND. THE OVERALL EVALUATION INDICATED GREAT SUCCESS WITH THE CONTENT AND FORMAT (4.6 ON A 5-POINT SCALE) CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS REPRESENTED A CROSS SECTION OF PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDING BIRTH TO 3 PROVIDERS, PUBLIC HEALTH STAFF, HOME VISITORS, MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIANS, TEACHERS, AND CHILD WELFARE STAFF. THE CONFERENCE FOCUSED ON DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION, FEAUTRED NATIONAL AND LOCAL EXPERTS, AND PROVIDED OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN OVER TWO DAYS WITH ACCESS TO VIDEOS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR.
