THE UJAMAA PLACE PROGRAM PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH THAT OFFERS YOUNG MEN A PATHWAY TO SUCCESS THROUGH HIGH CONTEXT COACHING PLUS EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN EMPOWERMENT SKILLS, BASIC JOB SKILLS & JOB SEARCH, GED, SPIRITUALITY, AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE, AND LIFE SKILLS. KEY INDICATORS OF SUCCESS: UJAMAA PLACE GRADUATES HAVE COMPLETED THEIR GED, ARE USING EMPOWERMENT SKILLS IN THEIR DAILY LIVES, NOT REOFFENDING, ARE DRUG GREE, HAVE STABLE HOUSING, HOLDING A STEADY JOB, AND ARE POSITIVELY CONNECTED TO THEIR FAMILIES AND CHILDREN.
