WE OFFER MANY NATURE, GARDENING & ART PROGRAMS WEEKLY AS WELL AS SPECIAL EVENTS TO GET OUR FAMILIES OUTSIDE ENJOYING THE WONDERS OF NATURE. THE CHILDREN'S GARDEN ALSO DOES COMMUNITY EVENTS WITH FREE NATURE CRAFTS SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR, ALTHOUGH IN 2021 DUE TO COVID WE DID INTERACTIVE PROGRAMS ONLINE ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE AND OUR WEBPAGE TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE.OUR GARDEN PROGRAMS INCLUDE: "CAN YOU DIG IT", "MUNCH CRUNCH GROW YOUR LUNCH" & "WORM FARMING/COMPOSTING" TO NAME A FEW OF OUR GARDENING CLASSES. EACH CLASS HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO TEACH KIDS ABOUT GROWING THEIR OWN FOOD WITH GOOD SOIL, COMPOSTING & WATERING. OUR GARDENING CLASSES PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY, ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP, CONFIDENCE & GOOD NUTRITION. NORMAL ATTENDANCE IS BETWEEN 6-20 KIDS. WE ALSO TEACH HOMESCHOOL CHILDREN & SMALL FIELD TRIPS. AGAIN WE HAVE LIMITED THE AMOUNT OF CHILDREN AT ONE TIME TO THESE PROGRAMS DUE TO COVID 19.OUR NATURE PROGRAMS INCLUDE: "NATURE EXPLORERS" & "MAGIC NATURE BOX" BOTH PROGRAMS ARE VERY HANDS ON AND INTERACTIVE TO GET KIDS EXCITED ABOUT MOTHER NATURE. WHETHER WE ARE ON A "BUG HUNT", "TREE IDENTIFICATION OR "EXPLORING OUR BOG" WE ARE ALWAYS OFF ON A FUN OUTSIDE ADVENTURE! APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 24 KIDS PER WEEK ATTEND THESE PROGRAMS THAT ARE FREE FOR MEMBERS & INCLUDED IN THE GARDEN'S ADMISSION. THESE PROGRAMS ARE VERY WELL RECEIVED WITH OUR HOMESCHOOL GROUPS.OUR ART IN NATURE PROGRAMS INCLUDE: "ART ROCKS", "WILDCRAFTING" & "THE FAIRY RING" ARE JUST A FEW OF OUR MAGICAL ART PROGRAMS WHICH ALWAYS ENTWINES NATURE FINDS IN EACH PROGRAM. THESE ART PROGRAMS ALLOWS FOR CREATIVITY, FOSTERS CONFIDENCE & INDIVIDUALITY, AND SPARKS THE IMAGINATION. SOME OF OUR ART PROGRAMS ARE ONLY SMALL CLASSES & SOME CRAFTS ALLOW FOR LARGER AUDIENCES. WE MAINTAINED A RESTRICTED AMOUNT OF CHILDREN AT ONE TIME FOR OUR ART PROGRAMS AND WHENNECESSARY WE DID TWO DIFFERENT PROGRAMS.STORYTELLING: WE LOVE TO PROMOTE LITERACY AT THE CHILDREN'S GARDEN & OUR LITTLE ONES LOVE TO READ BOOKS SO EACH WEEK WE SELECT A WHIMSICAL NATURE BOOK TO READ AT OUR AMPHITHEATER ALONG WITH A LITTLE CRAFT TO COMPLETE EACH STORY. WE ALSO HAVE LOCAL CHILDREN'S BOOK AUTHORS COME AND READ THEIR BOOKS!SPECIAL EVENTS INCLUDE: "WINNIE THE POOH'S BIRTHDAY", "BIG HEART CLUE HUNT", " FAIRY FESTIVAL". "HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION FOR ALL FAITH'S FOOD BANK" OUR "ELF WORKSHOP AND MANY MORE! THESE FUN FAMILYEVENTS ARE HELD ON A WEEKEND TO ALLOW PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS AND KIDS TO COME TOGETHER TO GET SOME NATURE TIME & MAKE MEMORIES.
