HPAC SPONSORS OR HOSTS MANY ARTS AND CULTURE RELATED PROGRAMS IN THE HASTINGS, MN, AND PRESCOTT, WI, LOCAL AREA. HPAC IS THE MAJOR SPONSOR FOR THE COST OF HOSTING TUESDAY COFFEE CONCERTS AT THE HASTINGS ARTS CENTER, FEATURING MANY ACCLAIMED MUSICAL ARTISTS FROM MANY DIFFERENT GENRES. HPAC ALSO HAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE HASTINGS ARTS CENTER PIANO FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF THEIR STEINWAY CONCERT PIANO. HPAC FINANCIALLY SUPPORTS A LOCAL WRITERS GUILD, A GROUP OF AUTHORS WHO MEET TO SHARE WRITING TECHNIQUES AND STORIES. THIS GROUP PROVIDES FREE WRITING COURSES. HPAC SUPPORTS THE SPARK PROGRAM, A SUMMER ARTS PROGRAM FOR SCHOOL AGE KIDS WHICH PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR ARTISTS AND TEACHERS TO SHARE THEIR SKILLS WITH THE CHILDREN. DURING COVID, HPAC PROVIDED ONLINE CONTENT TO REPLACE IN-PERSON LEARNING. HPAC OPERATES THE ORANGE DRAGON ART GALLERY (ODAG) IN PRESCOTT, WI, PROVIDING A VENUE WHERE LOCAL ARTISTS CAN DISPLAY AND SELL THEIR WORK. ODAG HOSTS ARTIST EXHIBITIONS FOR ARTISTS, INCLUDING ARTWORK FROM THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL. HPAC HAS ALSO WORKED WITH RESIDENTS OF THE HASTINGS ARTIST LOFTS TO DEVELOP AND CREATE AN INDEPENDENT ART GALLERY TO SHOW AND SELL THE ARTWORK FOR THE 30+ RESIDENTS OF THEIR BUILDING. HPAC PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS EACH YEAR TO ART AND MUSIC STUDENTS WHO COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THEM. THESE INCLUDE PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS, HIGH SCHOOL SHOW CHOIR FEES, ETC. HPAC ALSO PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE BLACK DIRT THEATRE GROUP, THE LUMIN THEATRE LAB AND THE SOD HOUSE THEATRE. HPAC ACTS AS A FISCAL SPONSOR FOR SEVERAL LOCAL ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING THE RIVER VALLEY BAND, A MULTIGENERATIONAL COMMUNITY BAND, AND BUILDING REMEMBRANCE FOR RECONCILIATION, A MULTICULTURAL ORGANIZATION CREATING PUBLIC ART REMEMBERING THE EARLY BLACK SETTLERS OF HASTINGS.
