WORK AND LIFE SKILL SERVICES PROVIDE WORK AND LIFE SKILL TRAINING FOR INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCEING COGNITIVE, LEARNING, OR SOCIAL DISABILITIES. WORK AND LIFE SKILLS ARE DEVELOPED THROUGH VOLUNTEERISM, COMMUNITY INTEGRATION AND INTERACTIVE LESSONS WHICH ENABLE EACH PERSON TO ACHIEVE THEIR INDIVIDUALIZED GOALS.


THE READY FOR LIFE ACADEMY PROVIDES POST-SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR COLLEGE-AGED INDIVIDUALS DIAGNOSED WITH COGNITIVE, LEARNING, OR SOCIAL DISABILITIES. EACH STUDENT BEGINS THE PROGRAM BY BUILDING A STUDENT-CENTERED LEARNING PLAN TO DEVELOP REALISTIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES, AND IDENTIFY AREAS OF NATURAL TALENT TO BE FURTHER DEVELOPED. BASED ON THE STUDENT'S INTERESTS AND ABILITIES, THE COLLEGES OFFER NON-CREDIT EARNING CLASSES WHICH ARE INTENTIONALLY SELECTED FOR THE STUDENTS TO ATTEND. THE CURRICULUM USED FOCUSES ON TRANSITION SKILLS TO HELP STUDENTS GAIN INDEPENDENCE AND JOB SKILLS AND COURSES ARE TAUGHT TO SUPPLEMENT THE COLLEGE CLASSES THE STUDENTS ATTEND.
