THE MEDICAL CLINIC SERVES LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNINSURED AND LIVE IN GOODHUE COUNTY. WE HAVE HAD A STRONG SUPPORT FROM OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH FINANCIAL GIVING, GIFTS-IN-KIND AND INDIVIDUAL TIME OF VOLUNTEERS. WE HAVE ALMOST 200 VOLUNTEERS TRAINED AND READY TO SERVE. THE CLINIC IS OPEN TUESDAY EVENINGS AND IS STAFFED BY OVER 25 VOLUNTEERS EACH WEEK.
THE HISPANIC FAMILY THERAPY PROGRAM OPENED IN JANUARY 2015 TO SPECIFICALLY TARGET THE GROWING MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS OF THE SPANISH SPEAKING POPULATION IN OUR COMMUNITY. THIS PROGRAM SERVICES 5-6 PATIENTS PER WEEK.
THE DENTAL CLINIC OPENED ON MAY 26TH, 2011 AND IS SERVING PATIENTS FOUR DAYS PER WEEK. ON AVERAGE THE DENTAL CLINIC SEES 49 PATIENTS EACH WEEK, INCLUDING EXTRACTIONS, FILLINGS, CLEANINGS, AND X-RAY SERVICES.
THE MNSURE PROGRAM PROVIDES BI-LINGUAL INSURANCE ASSISTANCE TO OVER 3,000 INDIVIDUALS EACH YEAR BY TRAINED STAFF TO PROVIDE FREE APPLICATION, ENROLLMENT, AND FOLLOW-UP ASSISTANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS TO BE CONNECTED WITH AFFORDABLE HEALTH COVERAGE. OUR MNSURE STAFF ALSO HELPS CONNECT INDIVIDUALS WITH OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS.
