LITTLE RIPPLES IS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT EMPOWERS REFUGEES AND COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY HUMANITARIAN CRISES TO DELIVER CHILD-CENTERED, QUALITY, AND COMPREHENSIVE PRE-PRIMARY EDUCATION THAT SUPPORTS THE SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE, AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AGES 3-5.
THE REFUGEES UNITED SOCCER ACADEMY IS A PLACE FOR REFUGEE BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 6-13 LIVING IN REFUGEE CAMPS TO LEARN ABOUT TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP, AND PEACEBUILDING, ALL WHILE IMPROVING THEIR SOCCER SKILLS. IT OFFERS CHILDREN, WHOSE FAMILIES HAVE EXPERIENCED EXTREME VIOLENCE, A SAFE SPACE TO PLAY, LEARN, AND HEAL.
THE DARFUR UNITED MEN'S AND WOMEN'S TEAM IS AN ALL-REFUGEE SOCCER TEAM, ORIGINALLY FORMED FROM TWELVE REFUGEE CAMPS IN EASTERN CHAD. THESE CAMPS CURRENTLY HOST OVER 360,000 DISPLACED PEOPLE FROM DARFUR. DARFUR UNITED IS AN ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF NORMALCY AND CONNECTION TO THE WORLD FOR DARFURI REFUGEES.
