Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
ENTERING HOUSING IS AN IMPORTANT STEP IN THE JOURNEY OUT OF HOMELESSNESS, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. NATIONWIDE HALF OF THOSE WHO ENTER HOUSING RETURN TO SHELTERS WITHIN THE YEAR. HUMBLE DESIGN ENDS THE REVOLVING DOOR OF HOMELESSNESS BY CREATING HOMES WHERE FAMILIES CAN FIND PEACE, STRENGTH, AND HOPE. WE ARE THE CONDUIT FOR THE COMMUNITY TO DONATE THEIR GENTLY USED HOUSEHOLD FURNISHINGS, AND DECOR ITEMS DIRECTLY TO SOMEONE WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM IT THE MOST. IN 2021, ACROSS OUR FIVE LOCATIONS, WE SERVED OVER 1,200 PEOPLE WHO HAD SECURED HOUSING AFTER DEALING WITH HOMELESSNESS. WE TURNED 439 EMPTY HOUSES/APARTMENTS INTO PERSONAL, WELCOMING SPACES. NINETY-NINE PERCENT OF FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS ARE STILL HOUSED ONE YEAR LATER.
