THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED AS HAVING END-STAGE RENAL DISEASE ("ESRD") TO RECEIVE THE CARE THEY NEED, ENCOURAGES PROPER DISTRIBUTION AND EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF ESRD TREATMENT RESOURCES WHILE MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF CARE, PROVIDES THE FLEXIBILITY NECESSARY FOR THE EFFICIENT DELIVERY OF APPROPRIATE CARE BY PHYSICIANS AND FACILITIES, AND ACTS AS AN ADMINISTRATIVE GOVERNING BODY TO ESRD NETWORKS, A RESOURCE TO COMMUNITY HEALTH PLANNERS, AND A LIAISON TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
