THE ECHO CANCER FOUNDATION, INC. HELPS TO EMPOWER THE CANCER PATIENT AFTER DIAGNOSIS, BY CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE THAT WILL ENHANCE AND SUPPORT THE PATIENT, FAMILIES, AND CAREGIVERS PHYSIOLOGICALLY, PSYCHOLOGICALLY AND SOCIALLY. IT INTENDS TO ACHIEVE THOSE GOALS BY PROVIDING PATIENT AND FAMILY EDUCATION, PATIENT SUPPORT AND COUNSELING SERVICES, ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES FOR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER NECESSARY ITEMS, RECRUITING AND UTILIZING VOLUNTEERS AND SIMILAR ENDEAVORS.

CORE PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE "BEACON OF HOPE" VOLUNTEER PROGRAM: VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE COMFORT CARE TO PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES, THE ONE TO ONE CANCER MENTOR PROGRAM: TRAINED CANCER SURVIVORS PROVIDE ONE TO ONE MENTORING TO PATIENTS DURING TREATMENT, BOXED LUNCH PROGRAM: PROVIDES PATIENTS AND CAREGIVERS NUTRITIOUS BOXED LUNCH DURING THEIR OFFICE VISITS, SOCIAL SERVICES RESOURCE AND REFERRAL PROGRAM AVAILABLE THROUGH THE FOUNDATION OFFICE AND ALSO PROVIDE TOTE BAGS TO NEWLY DIAGNOSED PATIENTS CONTAINING DISEASE RELATED INFORMATION AND COMFORT ITEMS.
