CHRISTIAN PERFORMANCE THEATRE INC. IS DEDICATED TO BUILDING CHRIST-LIKE CHARACTER THROUGH PARTICIPATION AND EDUCATION IN THE PERFORMING ARTS.

SUMMER CAMPS: CAMPS ARE OFFERED DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, MIXING GAMES, SUMMER FUN, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNING AND GROWTH IN THEATRICAL SKILLS. EACH CAMP ENDS WITH THE CAMPERS PERFORMING IN A MUSIC THEATRE SHOWCASE FOR FAMILIES, FRIENDS, AND LOCAL COMMUNITY PATRONS. KIDS CAMP (AGES 5 TO 12) WAS HELD JULY 10-14 AND HAD 96 CAMPERS, THEME WASAT THE BANDSTAND. TEEN CAMP (AGES 13 TO 18) WAS HELD JUNE 5-9 AND HAD 29 CAMPERS, THEME WAS OKLAHOMA JR.


CLASSES/ENROLLMENT SHOW: CLASSES IN THE PERFORMING ARTS ARE HELD EACH FALL, WINTER, AND SPRING FOR STUDENTS AGES 5 TO 18. THERE ARE TWO LOCATIONS, EAST AND WEST. FOR SEASON 2023, 21 CLASSES WERE TAUGHT AND 354 STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THREE, 10-11 WEEK SESSIONS FOR EAST AND WEST LOCATIONS.FOR EAST LOCATIONS, THE STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE SKILLS LEARNED BY PERFORMING IN A MUSICAL THEATRE SHOWCASE FOR FAMILIES, FRIENDS, AND COMMUNITY PATRONS. FOR WEST LOCATIONS, THOSE ENROLLED AUDITION FOR ROLES BUT ALL STUDENTS ARE CAST IN THE ENROLLMENT SHOW. TICKETS ARE SOLD TO PATRONS. THE FALL SESSION PERFORMED FINDING NEMO JR., THE WINTER SESSION PERFORMED RAISE YOUR VOICE: A BROADWAY JR. REVUE, AND THE SPRING SESSION PERFORMED THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY JR.


SHOWS: DURING THE FALL AND SPRING SESSIONS, STUDENTS AGES 8 TO 18 CAN AUDITION FOR A BROADWAY-STYLE FULLY-STAGED PRODUCTION. THOSE CHOOSING NOT TO AUDITION OR IF NOT CAST, ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE PART IN THE PRODUCTION BY WAY OF USHERING, WORKING BACKSTAGE, ASSISTING WITH PROPS, OR HELPING IN THE HAIR, MAKEUP, AND/OR TECHNICAL AREAS. PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE A CRITICAL PART IN OFFERING HIGH-QUALITY PRODUCTIONS THAT HAVE BECOME THE HALLMARK OF THE ORGANIZATION. NEAR THE END OF THE SESSION, FOUR SHOW PRODUCTIONS ARE PERFORMED FOR THE PUBLIC. FOR THE 2023 SEASON, 100 CAST MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN TWO SHOWS: IN THE SPRING, THE MUSIC MAN AND INTHE FALL, FINDING NEMO JR.THE CAST REHEARSED FOR A 10 TO 12 WEEK PERIOD WHICH CONCLUDED WITH FOUR PERFORMANCES FOR THE MUSIC MAN, AND TWO PERFORMANCES FOR FINDING NEMO JR. WITH APPROXIMATELY 2800 PATRONS ATTENDING.
