MEMORY WELLNESS DAY SERVICES:CENTER FOR HEALTHY LIVING PROVIDES ADULT MEMORY WELLNESS DAY SERVICES AND INTEGRATIVE HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS TO OLDER ADULTS LIVING WITH MEMORY LOSS DUE TO ALZHEIMER'S, STROKE AND AGE-RELATED DEMENTIAS, PARKINSON'S, FRAILTY, AND SOCIAL ISOLATION. AS A WHOLE FAMILY SOLUTION, CFHL ENABLES PARTICIPATING OLDER ADULTS TO LIVE MORE INDEPENDENTLY WHILE PROVIDING MUCH NEEDED RESPOITE TO FAMILY CAREGIVERS. ADDITIONALLY, EACH DAY IS FILLED WITH A FULL RANGE OF ENGAGING LIFE ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES, PHYSICAL EXERCISE, AND THERAPEUTIC ART AND MUSIC THERAPIES.
OUTREACH & EDUCATION:A KEY COMPONENT OF CFHL'S PROGRAMMING IS OUTREACH AND EDUCATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC INCLUDING CAREGIVERS, VOLUNTEERS AND COLLEGIATE INTERNS. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING ACCESS TO ITS RESOURCE LIBRARY, CFHL HOSTS A SERIES OF BI-WEEKLY SUPPORT GROUPS FOR FAMILIES CARING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DEMENTIA. DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS SUPPORT THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION AND CFHL SERVES AS A COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER, SPONSORING INTERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES WITH NUMEROUS UNIVERSITIES IN THE CHARLOTTE AREA AND THROUGHOUT THE SOUTHEAST.
