THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO BUILD STRONGER, MORE VIBRANT COMMUNITIES WITH THE GOAL TO ATTRACT INVESTORS, BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY, AND SKILLED WORKERS AND VISITORS. THE GREAT LAKES BAY REGION IS A COLLABORATION OF THE MIDLAND, SAGINAW, BAY, AND ISABELLA COUNTIES. THE ALLIANCE HAS THE FOLLOWING COUNCILS THAT ALL WORK TOWARD THE GOALS THAT WILL IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND ECONOMIC VITALITY AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE GREAT LAKES BAY REGION: ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT COUNCIL ADVOCACY COUNCIL EDUCATION COUNCIL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL
