SUMNER SPAY & NEUTER ALLIANCE'S MISSION IS TO REDUCE SHELTER INTAKE AND EUTHANASIA OF DOGS AND CATS BY MAKING A HIGH QUALITY, HIGH VOLUME, LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER SERVICE AVAILABLE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF OUR COMMUNITY.

IN 2021, SUMNER SPAY AND NEUTER ALLIANCE PERFORMED 6,129 SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES. AROUND 2,788 OF THESE SURGERIES WERE DONE FOR A VERY SMALL CO- PAY OR FOR FREE (2,788) FOR PERSONS OF LOW INCOME, WHO COULD NOT AFFORD THESE SERVICES. THE OFFICERS RECOGNIZE THAT IN ORDER TO REDUCE THEIR SHELTER INTAKE AND EUTHANASIA, THEY MUST REACH ALL PETS WITH SPAY AND NEUTER SERVICES, NOT JUST THOSE INDIVIDUALS WITH DOGS AND CATS BELONGING TO PEOPLE WHO CAN PAY. ADDITIONALLY, SUMNER SPAY NEUTER ALLIANCE PROMOTES EDUCATION OF THE IMPORTANCE OF SPAY AND NEUTER SERVICES THROUGH OUTREACH AND PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY EVENTS, COLLABORATION WITH OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, PROMOTE OF THE WORD OF MOUTH, ADVERTISING, AND THE USE OF BOTH ELECTRONIC AND PINT MEDIA.
