MITCHELL COUNTY REGIONAL MEDICAL FOUNDATION RENOVATED THE PERDUE HOUSE TO PROVIDE CLOSE AND COMFORTABLE LODGING FOR FAMILIES TO STAY IN WHILE THEIR LOVED ONES ARE RECEIVING MEDICAL TREATMENT AT MITCHELL COUNTY HOSPITAL HEALTH SYSTEMS.
MITCHELL COUNTY REGIONAL MEDICAL FOUNDATION RECEIVED THE STATE OF KANSAS SMART GRANT. THIS INITIATIVE WAS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE CHRONIC DISEASE RISK REDUCTION FOCUSING PRIMARILY ON REDUCED TOBACCO USE THROUGH ENVIRONMENT AND POLICY CHANGES.
VARIOUS DONATIONS INCLUDING A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FOR CONSTRUCTION USE ON THE BUILD OF THE NEW MITCHELL COUNTY HOSPITAL. PUBLIC HEALTH PRESERVATION AND CHRONIC DISEASE RISK REDUCTION GRANTS ARE USED TO WORK WITH LOCAL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENTS TO IDENTIFY WAYS TO PREVENT ILLNESSES THAT ARE THE LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH IN THE AREA.
